Research Fellow - Wellcome-Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine (WWIEM) Queen's University Belfast - School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS).
Job Purpose: The successful candidate will develop and manage a research project seeking to antigen uptake and trafficking events in B cells, which lead to efficient antigen presentation and antibody responses. The post holder will be an active member of a team led by Dr Dessi Malinova. They will have the opportunity to project manage, disseminate work, network, supervise and mentor. They will have access to extensive career development and outreach opportunities. This is an MRC-funded research project suited to a highly ambitious individual.
The successful candidate must have and your CV/Cover letter (or application form) should clearly demonstrate you have:
Have or be about to obtain a relevant PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology or closely related area.
At least 3 years recent research experience in cell biology, immunology or closely related area.
Recent hands-on experience, including data analysis where applicable, in at least 3 of the following techniques:
- Flow cytometry
- Tissue culture
- Lentiviral preparation and use
- Western blot
- Confocal or TIRF microscopy
- In vivo models
Recent publications commensurate with experience.
