ISI PUBLIC LECTURE AWARD 2014 – PROFESSOR MICHAEL LENARDO

The ISI are pleased to announce that Professor Michael Lenardo is the 2014 recipient of their Public Lecture Award. This will be hosted in association with the Irish Times & the Science Gallery, TCD.

Professor Lenardo is an outstanding Immunologist of Irish descent based at the NIH, USA.  He is Section Chief in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, directing research on T-lymphocyte regulation, HIV-1, and genetic diseases of the immune system.

Among his honors and awards, he is Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.), conferred by Queen Elizabeth II, March, 2006 and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Prof. Lenardo will present his public lecture entitled: “How the DNA genomics revolution will improve your future health” in the Paccar Theatre, Science Gallery, TCD at 7.00pm on 29th April 2014.
